Boyzone Stephen Gatelys Dead? The Singers Died & X Factor Louis & Fans Say Gay Gately Music Lives On

Stephen Gately is dead - Well he's gone as well just like Jacko, what a sad loss to the music world… Stephen Gately singer with boy band (Boyzone) may not have been quite so famously known like Michael Jackson but certainly loved just as much by the millions who did know of him. How many more of our favourite singing pop idols are going to pass a way in such a short space of time? First Micheal Jackson and now Stephen Gately, apparently the 33-year was holidaying in Majorca and after a night out went to sleep but failed to wake up according to a leading newspaper. Boy band Boyzone hasn't long had a reunion after splitting up for years where lead singer Ronan Keating went on to make a huge success out of his solo singer career.

The four remaining band members are flying out to the island of Majorca, each one devassted by the news of Stephens passing. As of yet there are no real reasons given why his death has occurred " of course this will come at a later date as soon as the cause for him not awakening from his slumber will come to light.

He was one of the most likable or should I use the word more fitting for Stephen Gately “lovable guy” will never be forgotten for what he put into the band. Singer Ronan Keating is said to be “completely devastated” which is to be expected from someone so close. Even though Ronan went it alone, and had his own successful solo singing career, it was Stephens's presence on stage alongside Keating belting out them notes that took Boyzone to the top of the music charts.

Stephen tragically died whilst on holiday in Majorca with his partner Andrew Cowles who he married in a civil union in March 2006. When the gay singer came out 10 years ago it caused a sensation in the pop music world, just like it did with Will young and a great many others

The rest of the boys form Boyzone will be travelling to Majorca to pay their respects to a great guy who they classed as their brother. Louis Walsh manager of Boyzone and X factor judge was left in complete shock on hearing about Stephen Gately dying. X Factor Judge Louis said after being delivered the news of his death, that he was only with him on Monday at an awards ceremony. Louis will get the support while grieving no doubt from his fellow judges to help him through this sensitive and sad time. Those being Cheryl Cole Danni Minniogue and cold hearted Simon Cowell. Yes he may well be a brute at times, but at times like this Simon is only human like the rest of us and will be there for Louis Walsh

Band member Shane Lynch and other band members will now head out to Majorca, because we just need to get over to where he's passed and work out what we need to do, he said. Gately also became a star in the West End, appearing as Joseph in and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and on television in ITV's Dancing on Ice, he was the one with 2 left feet but a man with a voice of an angel

Stephen last posted a message on his Twitter page on October 6, writing: “Still busy - lots going on. Focussing on finishing my book next so may be quiet here.” Did he ever get to finish the book because then maybe we might have the answer why he fell asleep and never woke up. Will we ever know now " now that he has gone? The reason for his death is still unclear but his beginning isn't. Gately joined up with boy band Boyzone in 1993 after replying to an advert in Dublin to audition for Ireland's first boy band.

Gately was born in Ireland in March 1976

He and Ronan Keating shared lead vocals, and why not because both had unique voices hence depriving none of their fans of what they had to offer vocally. Boyzone had huge success with six singles reaching number one, including “Stay” in the year 2001.

The band decided in 2000 to go their separate way and move on to solo projects. Gately was the first with his debut solo single titled New Beginning to make his mark, and later released a debut solo album of the same name. However Romans sole career and his fame just kept on rising. Patrick Duffy played barman in Coronation ST, and Shane starred in “Celebrity Love Island” and won't be forgotten for knocking back the “I love me who do you love” model Sophie Anderton. Shane was also the outspoken one of the placid group members.

Gately in June 1999 came out of the closet and admitted he was gay disappointing hundreds of his girl fans, however still with a fabulous voice he went from strength to strength regardless. His manager X factor judge Louis Walsh was unaware of his sexuality when he selected him for the band, and said that there would have been second thoughts about him joining the band had he known. Is this why we have so many gays with a great singing voice still hiding in the closet. It shouldn't be the case, the music world is about singing not about who you sleep with Louis. Did Stephens sleeping with Andrew make him any less of a man, or any less of a better singer?

Gately wed Andrew Cowles, first in a commitment ceremony in Las Vegas in 2003 and more formally in a civil partnership ceremony in London in 2006. Boyzone got back together last year in 2008 and were intending on bringing out a new album in 2010. Is this the end of Boyzone? Okay it's the end of Stephen Gately but never a final ending while his songs are still being played.

The first song I will play and remember him for is the one and only best ever song sung by Stephen, and it's called “NO MATTER WHAT” and you know Gately “no matter what” goes on in my life or them close to you will always remember you from what you gave to us all. R.I.P.
