Slavers: (1978-German) C-I02 Slavers is about the slave trade business that went on in Africa throughout the 19th century. An excellent cast is saddled with second-rate script. Cast includes Trevor Howard, Ron Ely, Britt Ekland, Jurgen Goslar, Ray Milland, Ken Gampu, and Cameron Mitchell. (102 minutes, 1978)

A Bullet for the General: Blond gringo joins marauding guerrillas and shares to gory bloodletting. Not poor for the genre. Cast includes Maria Volonte, Lou Castel, Klaus Kinski, and Martine Beswick. (115 minutes, 1967)

La Salamandre: Reporter Bideau and author Denis analysis truths behind the case of bizarre Ogier, implicated by her uncle of tried murder. Cast includes Bulle Ogier, Jean-Luc Bideau, and Jacques Denis. Easy, ludicrous evaluation of reality: (125 minutes, 1971)

Agnes Browne: Excellent-natured film in reference to a performing-style firm in late 1960s Dublin whose spouse has just died, leaving her to raise 7 youngsters on her own. Luckily, her best buddy O'Dwyer is unconditionally there to lend a hand. Comedy is opulent in environment although pat, with a subplot engaging singer Tom Jones shoving objects a tad too far. Cast includes Anjelica Huston, Marion O'Dwyer, Ray Winstone, Arno Chevrier, Gerard McSorley, and Tom Jones. (92 minutes, 1999)

Heartaches: Pegnant Potts drops spouse Carradine who is not the toddler's dad and gets to be the unwilling friend of gentleman-seeking screwball Kidder. Fine steel behaviors kindle this little comedy. Cast includes Margot Kidder, Annie Potts, Robert Carradine, Winston Rekert, George Touliatos, and Man Sanvido. (93 minutes, 1981)

Wall-E: This is an animation sci-fi comedy adventure. Wall-E is a robot left on Earth for 100's of years, since the planet became uninhabitable. He just goes on cleaning the planet, as he was designed to do. When a search robot named Eve arrives, his whole reason for existing changes.

Sugar and Spice: 5 high school cheerleader friends rally around their team commander while she gets to be pregnant by the school's new hotshot quarterback and level a robbery in request to help her out. Marsden is as fun as an egocentric imbecile. Substitute video rendition runs 84. Cast includes Marley Shelton, James Marsden, Mena Suvari, Marla Sokoloff, Rachel Blanchard, and Sara Bog. (81 minutes, 2001)

Dante's Peak: Volcano expert Harry Dalton has ventured to the Pacific North to investigate unusual seismic activity in the region. Harry is surprised to find that Dante's Peak is threatening to have a spectacular eruption. He then must convince the politicians in the area that people must evacuate the area, or suffer the consequences, which will be catastrophic.

Sideways: Giamatti gives another awesome-and thoroughly organic, completely believable-behavior as a would-be author. An enthusiastic xenophile and a communal black sheep who takes a college friend off for a week in California wine country before he gets wedded. During the voyage, this strange couple meets two desirable females who appear to return their interest. This work is nformed with humor, truth, empathy, and the eye for detail that marks most of Payne's work. Cast includes Paul Giamatti, Thomas Haden Temple, Virginiil Madsen, Sandra Oh, Marylouise Burke, and Jessica Hecht. (126 minutes, 2004)
