The Power Of Religion And Nationalism Unveiled

The best and easiest way to build a team is to pick an enemy and clearly define it. Of course, notice I did not say the most ethical way, just the easiest and what works best. If you look at governments and religion; they both do quite a bit of this and use this technique quite often. Recently, in our Online Think Tank this issue was prompted by a potential future member, who stated:
It seems everyone buys into religion and government without questioning the motives?
There is a lot of power in nationalism or religion, which will be used by a man or men to serve their political will or agenda, not necessarily “good or evil” rather simply the resultant of large societies living under one large roof or huge populations and civilizations. If one openly questions the status quo, they become a threat; Socrates can explain that to both of us, yet Plato in the Republic explains why it is so and why a diffracted society becomes divided and can fall.
Indeed, the constant cycle is evident in any nation or human grouping from a small group, Industry Association, government agency or politics at any level. Most human societies, clubs and groupings use these techniques of social control almost innately, which is fascinating because this is exactly what chimpanzee troops and orangutans do also.
Am I saying that all human societies are not much better than our genetically superior primate cousins are? Yes, you humans are all not a whole lot better than those you call animals, maybe it is time to wake-up and join in the forward progression of mankind; Think on it.
