Q & A Discussion With A Visionary From The Online Think Tank

Isn’t mass media great? Whether it is the TV, Radio or an Internet Q & A session, there is always something going on at the Online Think Tank. Today one of the visionaries from the Online Think Tank was interviewed and asked many questions about the happenings at the Think Tank and their opinion on the whole thing.
About midway into the question and answer period the visionary stated that he was into winning, solving problems and thinking and was not into committee work, blame games or who inevitably will receive the credit for the challenges that are solved and the Q & A turned into a rather lively talk indeed:
Winning and exactly what is winning?
Winning is whatever the individual defines it as. What is winning for some may be losing to others – for instance a foot race, some people just want to beat their own personal best and improve, to them that is winning, even if they come in behind the race’s winners. Some just want to finish the marathon to prove they can do it, when they do they have won.
Thinking? Who is thinking?
I am, are you?
And what is the goal – to change the world?
Yes that is one goal, but not the only one, rather the point to fix it would be the main goal, and even once it is accomplished, humans always mess things up, so the next day you can start all over again right? Job Security is definitely a plus at the Online Think Tank.
Does the world want to change?
Well in a way yes, but in a way No, generally not, the individual most certainly not, as they resist change at every turn, then when it finally comes they either destroy it or praise it. Do you force change on a species which is ignorant of what must be done to continue or do you let them folly and in the 11th hour put on a band-aid only to see the causality of the "law of unintended consequences" and to that point is such a species even worthy of the assistance to do it right? Hard questions – the only true stumbling block of a rational thinker would be – do I even bother?
Or do we just want everyone else to adjust to our truth?
This is indeed one of those interesting philosophical questions that we must be cognizant of, as to not force our intellectual will onto others, thus due restraint is a huge factor in the consideration of all things considered, even if forcing change maybe for their own good.
Still the unreasonable man theory holds that those who make the biggest changes in the end do set in motion a trend, create followers and adjust the world to their vision of it. Who is the creative genius then. . .The unreasonable man – could very well be. Whether it is in art, in an industry like me, or making a change the world over like those we hold in high-esteem, but only know by name and historical text – change is change. Sometimes for the better, sometimes not, it is more of a flow than a correction.
Or do the sheep wait to be saved because they have been taught to follow so well?
This is my fear – reliance on a government is dangerous, reliance on self is powerful. Someone once said; "Trust No One" and I suppose if someone took that approach then they might not ever be let down? I think I will trust me, although they say no man is an island, that doesn’t mean one should not know self. What a fascinating interview indeed, thank you all for joining us and we will catch you for our next broadcast soon. Be well and keep thinking.
