When it comes to astrology, the devil is in the details. No, I don't mean this in the sense of evil, but more in the sense of the accuracy of a particular reading. This is just as true for the accuracy of reading related to a particular sign.
It's Monday morning. You've just arrived at work, fired up the computer and made sure no crisis has unfolded over the weekend. It is going to be a busy day. So, your first step is to check your horoscope for the day. You look online or in the paper under your sign. You see that the Leo faces a day of conflicts that the Leo will successfully overcome and gain much prestige for doing so with associates. But just how accurate is this reading?

Imagine yourself lying down at any seashore in Thailand. You are on a relaxed weekend, free from all the tensions. Sun is shining bright in the sky and you feel that this is one of the `blessed’ moments of life.
Suddenly, there is a dark cloud overshadows all your desires and dreams.an alarm rings. No no, this is not your wrist watch or mobile alert. This is TSUNAMI ALERT.
You would obviously leave all your belongings and run for your life. You won’t even remember Beatle’s song “You better run for your life if you can” as you are really worried about this disaster taking you off for a long drive in the deep sea.

Mon 8/13/07 Impracticality, Addictions, and Ready to Make Some Changes
People could be at the least rather impractical today, and some may turn to addictions. There may be some issues with emotional abuse, and today may be the last straw. We may decide to make some changes to eliminate some of that abuse this week. We may awaken ready to take on the world and make some changes in our lives, but by mid morning we may lose our direction. But, by mid afternoon we will know exactly what we want to do, and we will be ready to roll up our sleeves and get to it. Be careful not to over do it, because you may hit burnout tonight.

This work attempts to argue that astrological phenomena (i.e. things happening in accordance with astrological predictions) can only be explained by (philosophy of mind) idealism. In other words, astrological phenomena happen because of some non-spatial mechanism. Astrology, in particular Indian (Vedic) astrology, is empirically convincing and thus true/valid. However, its conventional spatial mechanistic explanation (that the astrological phenomena are caused by some rays emitted by the planets) is flawed. Further, it can be conjectured that no valid spatial mechanistic explanation can be provided. Therefore, in such case, only a (valid) non-spatial mechanistic (i.e. idealistic) explanation can be given. And one such explanation is the NSTP (Non – Spatial Thinking Process) theory, which also explains phenomena like quantum non-locality. Then, finally, the planets (more accurately, the astrological planets) stand as mere conceptual indicators in the non-spatial universal program.

There are many aspects of astrology that are not often considered by those who do not actually study the subject. Most people think that astrology consists of sun signs. However, there are many other aspects of astrology that must be considered for the art to be truly accurate and useful.
The Planets
There are ten planets studied in astrology. The number ten is arrived by adding the sun and the moon. The earth is not counted, because our perspective is from the earth. Each planet influences both the sun sign and the house in which it resides in the astrological chart.
Each planet represents the influence that it holds over the sun sign and the house in which it rules. Saturn, for example, represents the limitations of man. Jupiter represents leadership and prosperity. The other planets have their own representations and influences.

Pluto has been demoted from planet to dwarf planet, and now there are only eight planets in our solar system, according to the new planet classification system. The new (and only so far) official definition of planet is: “a celestial body that is in orbit around the sun, has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a … nearly round shape, and has cleared the neighborhood around its orbit. Pluto is automatically disqualified because its oblong orbit overlaps with Neptune’s. Instead, it will be reclassified in a new category of ‘dwarf planets,’ similar to what long have been termed ‘minor planets’. The definition also lays out a third class of lesser objects that orbit the sun – ‘small solar system bodies’. a term that will apply to numerous asteroids, comets and other natural satellites. If we look at how astrology has evolved over the years we’ll discover at least three different approaches. For thousands of years, astrologers have practiced what could be called the event -oriented approach. This is the predictive, fatalistic approach where we on Earth are seen as helpless victims subjected to the overwhelming forces of the planets. Thus, we need to overcome the “bad” aspects in our birth charts and avoid the predictable crises that are “caused” by the malevolent planets.
Needless to say this sort of astrology is not very inspiring or empowering. Unfortunately this is exactly the kind of astrology that many people have been exposed to! Instead of providing information about our highest potential and how to actualize it, we are left with warnings to watch out for certain transits or predictions that can dis-empower our efforts to achieve what is seeking expression from within.
