Friendship Poems 4 – Ma Ma Said No!

Posted on April 23, 2008 - Filed Under Arts and Entertainment | Leave a Comment

You may use this as a lesson plan and give it to a friend you care about. When a friend gets off track and needs guidance, you can give him a dose of old fashion wisdom. Ma ma is a hero and no matter your age, she still has a big influence over you because ma ma knows best.

The problem occurs with your friend because he knows better, but he is not willing to do better. He is not willing to accept responsibility for any of his actions. One way of getting him to recognize that he has a problem is by writing him a “Ma ma said no!” poem.

Sample Poem:

Ma Ma Said No!

No! No! She said,
“Don’t touch that”

To a friend or family member whom you just want to say, “thanks.” To let them know how much you appreciate the things that they have done for you. When someone does something for you that you cannot put a price tag on it, just say, “thank you.” You may not have money to give someone as a reward for solving an unusual problem in your life. Yet, there is a desperate need to show your appreciation by giving the person some type of recognition. One way to show appreciation to someone you consider a hero is by writing the person a “thank you” poem.

Thank You

Thank you for the many things you do

the friendship, love, and devotion too

This is for the friend or family member whom you have not seen or heard from in a while. You just want the person to know that he has not been forgotten. In fact, you think of him every day.

As you were going about your normal duties, you were thinking about him. Your mind reflected on him when you were walking down the street. While walking, you passed someone that looked like him. While riding on the subway, you heard someone talking and it sound like him. So, it’s time to stop and take action. It is okay to let someone know that you are thinking about them by sending a “Thinking of You” poem.

Friendship Poems 16 – Time Out

Most people would probably agree that our youth today needs to be inspired to continue to reach their goals in life. If so, do you consider yourself a role model? What happens when the young people you know miss the mark and stray off his or her path? Do you take the time to talk and encourage him to do the right thing? Remember, our youth need to be inspired just like you did when you were their age. You may continue to inspire them by writing and publishing poems similar to “Time Out.”

Sample Poem:

Time Out

One hot day in June

sometime around noon

I saw the happiest person in the land

a student waving papers in his hand.

Culmination, plenty, copious; generosity, opulence, full to overflowing.

Abounding: abundant harvest, fertile, plentiful, numerous; exuberant, prolific, at the point of overflowing; fullness, ripe, sumptuous, luxurious, fat; exaggerated, too much; have many talents, friends, riches. Horn of plenty.

A time of prosperity and great abundance. Smile on everything.

Inner warmth and brightness permeate the world, rousing things up to abounding.

Generosity and abundance contain the hidden possibility of a great concentration of individual energy.

Should You Pursue A Career In Photography

Posted on March 6, 2008 - Filed Under Arts and Entertainment | Leave a Comment

I remember when I was young and the different things I thought I would do when I
grew up. It was always something glamorous like a race car driver, baseball player,
surfer, well anyways, you get the idea. These activities were all fun and things I
enjoyed watching on television or the movies, never really thinking about the money
aspect of it, just that these would be fun careers.

I also enjoyed taking photographs of everything with my camera, but of course never
thought of that as a career choice or something I could make money at. That was
just something fun to do, and everyone in the family enjoyed the fact that I took
pictures of everything for them to enjoy.
