People You Never Thought Had Tattoos

I will admit that I personally fall into this category. When someone finds out that I have tattoos they don’t believe it because I don’t seem like the type that would have them. I really don’t know why people don’t except it maybe its because I’m not a wild and crazy person, I don’t drink, smoke and have never done drugs. I guess you could say I’m pretty straight laced. So when someone that knows me finds out about my ink it surprises them. Of course I guess there really isn’t a certain type of person that has tattoos because so many different people on the earth have them and they come from different backgrounds, cultures and races. But when it comes to an individual bases I guess there are some people that don’t seem like the tattoo type.

When it comes to getting a tattoo we all know that it can be pretty pricey. With the economy getting worse everyday people have simply started to think twice about spending that money on something like a tattoo. Well it seems that a few tattoo studios came up with what they thought was a clever idea. These tattoo studios offered to give $30 Halloween tattoos all through the month of October. While this might be somewhat of a good idea, it can also be a bad idea.

This week I decided to go with Johnny Depp. I have had a crush on his since the 21 Jump Street Days and the man seems to get better looking the older he gets. Not to mention that Johnny just nailed the top position of being the highest paid actor in Hollywood right now. Johnny is earning $50 million a picture now. Well if you are a fan of Johnny Depp you know that he has quit a bit of tattoos.

I get this question a lot from people who see my tattoos. After they ask me all the normal questions, did it hurt, how long did it take and so on. They always ask how much did it cost? Well I’m here to tell you there really isn’t a set rate to how much a tattoo cost. It all depends on the artist really. If you are going to a very well known experienced artist you can expect to pay $180 an hour and up. You also have to take in consideration how big the tattoo is and how many colors are going to be used. Also if you want some sort of custom tattoo that the artist has to draw out you will be looking at a bigger price tag than if you picked something off the wall.

This is completely ridiculous if you ask me. It seems that our Firefighter that live in Los Angles are being forced to cover up their tattoos when they are one the job, on call, or hanging out at the fire station. Some extremely ridiculous rule was passed banning firefighters to have their tattoos visible while on the job. This has forced many firefighter to have to wear turtle necks, gloves or bandages to comply with this nonsense rule. It also seems that a lot of these tattooed firefighters are being harassed because out their body art.

I’ve been thinking about this for a little bit, wondering if people think there is something wrong with copying someones tattoo design. The reason I bring this up is because there are a lot of people out there that will see a tattoo that a celebrity or other famous person has and will go out and get the very same one. I personally don’t think it is such a good idea. I mean tattoos are meant to be original and have meaning to the person that has them. To get a tattoo just because you favorite celebrity has it is a little ridiculous.

I personally did not have this problem with my tattoos but a lot of people do have this problem. Not being able to find the exact design they want to get tattooed on them. This is where your local tattoo artist comes in and can really show you his or her true colors as a tattoo artist. All you have to do is sit down and talk with your tattoo artist and describe to them what you want and they can pretty much 9 times out of 10 draw you up something that you want. Don’t for a second think you are putting the artist out by being so unsure about your design. A lot of artist like to actually free hand and come up with a design on their own rather than just coping one you brought in.

I will admit I really don’t recall every seeing Jessica Alba’s tattoos before and come to find out she has at least three that I could find. She has a wrist tattoo that is in the Sanskrit word “Padma? which means
lotus flower. In Hinduism, it is the symbol of spiritual development. It is the symbol of the manifestation of beauty and mental purity (the ability to rise above) – for although it has its roots in the mud of ponds and lakes, it raises its flower in immaculate beauty above the surface of the water. She also has a tattoo of a daisy with a ladybug on it on the back of her neck and a bow on her lower back. I could not find a suitable picture of her neck tattoo, so you will just have to take my word that she does indeed have one back there.

I thought I would go in a different direction today, with my post. I think it is pretty safe to say that we all remember the instant that we decided we wanted to get a tattoo, of course some are a lot sooner than others. I for one had my mind made up when I was 8 years old, that when I turned 18, I was going to a tattoo no matter what. And you better believe I was at a tattoo parlor on my 18th birthday getting my first tattoo.

Now that you have gotten your long awaited tattoo you need to know how to properly care for it to ensure that the tattoo will remain as good as it did the day you got it. The first and probably the most important thing you have got to remember and try your hardest from not doing is scratching it. Trust me your tattoo is going to itch like a mother and all you will want to do is scratch it. Well you can’t, if you do it will make the scab came off. You need to let the scab fall off on its on, otherwise you will have little white dots all over you tattoo where the ink came off. Your tattoo usually starts to scab up within the first couple of days of getting your tat, this is normal and it means your tattoo has started the healing process.
